On the occasion of Australia’s Day, the Asian Business Association of Wyndham (ABAWyn) held the Spring Festival Gala and National Day celebration for two consecutive days, bringing a wonderful cultural feast to the Wyndham community.
On January 25, the Chamber of Commerce activity base was filled with a strong festive atmosphere. The first Spring Festival Gala and January birthday party of the Huayun Art Troupe of the Wyndham Asia Chamber of Commerce was held here. Nearly a hundred members and their families gathered together. Cr Larry Zhao, president of the Wyndham Asian Chamber of Commerce and Wyndham City Councilor, Bob, the honorary president of the Wyndham Asian Chamber of Commerce and former mayor of Wyndham City, and the leader of the Chamber of Commerce Huayun Art Troupe, Ye, spoke on stage to express birthday and New Year blessings to members and their families.
The members spontaneously performed on stage, showing their artistic style in various forms such as singing, dancing, and instrumental music. The Chinese food and warm birthday wishes carefully prepared by the Chamber of Commerce made the whole event full of joy and warmth.
A didgeridoo performance by Aboriginal artists brought the event to a climax. The didgeridoo is one of the symbols of Australian Aboriginal culture and an indispensable instrument in traditional celebrations. Under the guidance of Aboriginal artists, the audience got up close to this mysterious instrument and experienced the buzzing and low sound produced by the long wooden pipe.
The next day, January 26, the Australia Day celebration of the Wyndham Asia Chamber of Commerce, authorized by the federal government, was held grandly at Point Cook Library. This event is hosted by the Asian Chamber of Commerce in Wyndham (ABAWyn), co-organized by La Moneta Foundation Ltd, organized by the Huayun Art Troupe under the Chamber of Commerce, with special support from Bupa Insurance, and full support from Juao Media.
Heavyweight guests such as Wyndham City Councilor Cr Larry Zhao, former mayor Bob and Charity Foundation Chairman Jessie Shen all sent congratulations via video or in person.
At the celebration, many community heroes who have made silent contributions to the Asian community were awarded certificates of honor from the federal government. This is not only a recognition of the contributions made by individuals and teams to the community in the past year, but also an encouragement and motivation for all community members to continue their efforts in promoting social harmony and progress.
